"It is said that if one knows both oneself and others upon entering into conflict than in one hundred battles there will be no loss. Knowing only oneself but not others, or only others but not oneself, means that for every gain there will be a loss. Neither knowing oneself nor others means that every conflict will end in loss."

- Sunzi's Art of War

"The primary objective in learning Taichi Chuan is to both know oneself and know others."

- Master Yang Chengfu

Master Workshops

Here in New England we have the tremendous fortune of being able to study and train with the leader of the Tung Family Taichi Chuan lineage five times per year! This is a fantastic opportunity for deeper learning and personal engagement with masterful Tai Chi Chuan instruction so close to home. Master Tung Chenwei comes to Vermont in the winter and summer and to New Hampshire in the spring and fall. He also teaches a week-long camp at the end of the summer on Lake Winnepesaukee in New Hampshire. To attend these workshops and camp students must already have learned or become loosely familar with the basic sequences of the slowset and fastset along with the single circle and double push hands routines. For those willing to travel a little further, even deeper retreats are possible throughout the year in ahbout a dozen other places in the United States, Europe and Asia.
