Pausing at the edge of a stream the Master remarked:
“Passing on and on like this it never ceases, day or night.”

-- from the Analects of Confucius

The Falling Water Taichi School was founded in 2002 in the Champlain Valley of western Vermont as the outward expression of the lifelong contemplative practice and holistic dream of Christopher Kiely. It offers private instruction, weekly classes and seasonal workshops on the traditional Yang Style of Taichi Chuan and the daoist arts of internal cultivation. It also offers the therapeutic services of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine both as training tools and/or adjunctive therapies in the prevention of disease, maintenance of health and general pursuit of greater harmony.

The school has been comfortably grounded in the Litchfield Hills of northwest Connecticut since 2017. Ongoing weekly Taichi Chuan classes and practices are currently offered in the towns of Kent, Lime Rock and Norfolk CT. Private lessons and healing sessions are available by appointment at Fair Skies Acupuncture in Kent. In depth training workshops and retreats are held seasonally in both Vermont and Connectictut.

The mission of the Falling Water School is threefold: to conserve and preserve the Taichi Chuan legacy of Master Tung Kaiying, to empower the central role of the natural self in the work of deep healing and to provide continuous support for the quiet strength of the lasting heart.

Please feel welcome to drop in and join a class at any time. Or you can contact Chris by phone or email with any questions or inquiries.

"The goal of Taichi Chuan is not to demonstrate strength, power or violence. The goal is to attain serenity, tranquility and the discovery of oneself. It is truly an exercise of the spirit."

- Master Tung Kai Ying
